Thumb Extension Exercises
Thumb Extension off of Table
Begin with your hand flat on the table.
Slide the thumb open.
Lift the thumb off the table.
Lower the thumb back onto the table.
Slide the thumb in towards the hand.
Exercise Tips
Perform 10 repetitions, 3-4x/day.
Perform gently and deliberately.
Move to the end of your range of motion with each repetition and hold for 2-3 seconds.

Modification - if you are unable to lift the thumb off of the table with the hand flat:
place your hand on top of a the table, a book or a box with the index finger lined up along the edge and the thumb drooping off the edge.
Lift the thumb and try to bring it even with the hand.
